GWCC organised the first ever India France Space and Geospatial Business Summit and Indian Industry Trade Mission to France on 11-12 December 2023 in association with Indian Embassy in France as Co-organiser and EuroConsult (Now Novaspace) as a Supporting Partner.
India and France have a rich history of cultural, trade, and economic connections. Their strategic partnership, initiated in 1998, has evolved into a comprehensive relationship spanning various areas of cooperation. Both nations share a commitment to maintaining strategic autonomy, fostering trust and a pragmatic partnership. To fully unlock their trade potential, it’s essential to strengthen diplomatic ties and establish guidelines for a Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
There is an immense potential for a strategic business partnership between India – France pertaining to the space and geospatial business markets. India showcases cutting-edge capabilities in space infrastructure, as well as geospatial solutions and services. France boasts advanced geospatial technology, products, and a robust space industry. Holding an Master Engineering degree in Electronics and Computer Science from a French school and an MBA from a US university, I have been involved for more than 30 years in the AeroSpace & Defense Industry. While starting my career, I had the opportunity to spend more than 5 years in USA working in the AeroSpace Industry on important programs related to Aircrafts, Helicopters, Launch Vehicles and Satellites. As a co-founder of an American company back in 1999, I have been deeply involved into Satellites AIT and Ground Operations equipment and solutions. Then, I joined Zodiac end of 2004 who, later, became Safran, promoting worldwide Satellites equipment for onboard (modems, navigation, …) and for ground operations, as well as into Satellite Tracking Ground Stations. Since 2010, I have been promoting Space Situational Awareness products and solutions to major Satellites operators and Governmental organizations with significant success in USA and Asia.
