The National Digital Infrastructure is the backbone of any economy. Geospatial and Space industries serve as the foundation for Digital Infrastructure offering huge growth potential towards India’s vision of being self-reliant with approximately USD 10 trillion economy by 2030. The Global Geospatial Market Size is estimated to be USD 681 billion by year 2025 with an expected rate of 16.1% CAGR post 2025, making it USD 1.44 Trillion by 2030. India’s domestic geospatial market is forecasted to rise from INR 13.90 thousand crores (approximately1.68 billion USD) in 2021 to INR 23.09 thousand crores (approximately USD 2.79 billion) in 2025. The Indian Space industry is estimated to deliver USD 44 Billion potential (8% of global market) including USD 11 Billion of Exports and USD 33 Billion of domestic opportunities by the end of next decade.
While current growth rate is driven by technology innovation, integration of workflows, and augmentation of spatial analytics in business processes, post 2025 we witness a momentum in public policy reforms and increasing investments in geospatial infrastructure (both public and private) and industry acceleration programs worldwide. Ongoing policy reforms in the space, geospatial, and drone sectors, duly supported by strengthening of international cooperation and alignment with evolving world order, are making significant impact on growth of Indian geospatial-space market.
